My name is Shernett Mckenzie, I'm a proud member of Safiyashotiquewwc women's club in Christ for the past 3yrs.

    2) I'm a CNA and an aspiring creative entrepreneur

    3) We have monthly meetings as a group either zoom or in person, we do a lot of nonprofit events to benefit the community or anyone in need. We have our annual feed the homeless drive  community baby shower to help expectant mother's in need, sponsor scholarships and many more.Connecting with these amazing women in the group has impacted and enhanced my life spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically in a positive way. Connecting with my sisters has helped me to shift my mindset, build my faith in God and have so much more self confidence.

    4) Being with my WWC sisters has changed me in a significant way, I was never really a person who wore makeup and get glammed up and now I find myself enjoying it and making more of an effort to get a little glammed up and I love it! My favorite hobby is re-creating things, from clothes, accessories, shoes, purses, home decor etc. Ever since I was a child growing up in Jamaica I've always found myself taking something and enhancing it into something else or revamping things into my idea or vision. I truly think that's one of my many gifts that God has blessed me with and hopefully soon the world will see my work.

5)My favorite thing about WWC is the sisterhood, genuine support and being able to be truly transparent with no judgments. My favorite events would be our Ball and our Community baby shower. To see the smiles on the expectant mothers in need warmed my heart and made me realize what God's purpose is for this group, this is a vision bigger than ourselves.

    6) Moving forward in this group I'm really excited to see the amazing things that God will be doing for his glory as we grow together in Christ.

    7) I'm extremely honored to be a part of something so great! Everything that is big was once small , and as God works on us individually, I'm so excited to see what God is using us for his glory. It's a blessing to be a part of A VISION BIGGER THAN YOURSELF.

  • Annelise Leah

    MEMBER

My name is Annelise Leah and I am a proud member. I have been a part of the group for 2 years.

I am a legal assistant by day; & a makeup artist; CEO of Annelise Leah Beauty Co. Before becoming an official member; I just so happened to be a previous employee of SafiyaShoetique Enterprises and met Safiya via our church. We have been locked in ever since.

I do my absolute best to attend all meetings both in-person & via Zoom. I absolutely love in-person meetings because it gives us a chance to deeply connect with one another. While the Zoom sessions are very productive as it gives us freedom to be able to lock in with each other and multitask with the multiple things each woman individually in the group takes on as businesswomen and entrepreneurs; there’s nothing like getting the chance to love and hug your sister. Meetings have definitely helped me grow being the baby of the group; I always feel like I’m in a no judgement zone and I can let down my guard, be vulnerable, and get insight and advice from my big sisters! I have grown spiritually from this group because I’m now able to see certain situations in a different and positive light vs the negative.

This past year this group has taken on bigger responsibilities to impact our community and to show the vision of WWC through giving back. While I love the photo shoots and outings, and being able to dress up like the fashionista I am; I am big on supporting others and making sure that I support those who support me. I think my favorite hobby is the outreach projects that WWC does. Our 1st Annual Community baby shower was a success and warmed my heart. It was such a blessing to see how many mothers and families of infants and toddlers are in need in this community. So the opportunity to give back as a sisterhood was just phenomenal. I was happy to see these families feel loved and it was our chance to show them they too are loved and there are people that still care about them.

My absolute favorite thing about WWC is our photo shoots. I especially love getting the chance to use my gift as a makeup artist to glam my sisters up. Some of the women in this group rarely or hardly wear makeup so when I get to bless their face and see how beautiful and fabulous they feel; that lets me know that I'm fulfilling the purpose. It’s truly a testimony in itself; as all of us have been through some trying times and situations and this is the time they get to forget about everything going on and feel like the beautiful and strong women they are.

Before I thought that many changes needed to be made; but I prayed and stayed quiet and watched this group become somewhat smaller and intimate and I love it that way. We made a pact  and a commitment to do things differently and I can proudly say I love the new direction we are going in. I pray we continue to make our mark on the community and even worldwide so that others can see us shine in a positive light. As women we tend to compete with each other but I love that there is no competition. Each woman is different but together our differences make us a force to be reckoned with.

I just love to have fun and eat of course. None of our activities are complete without a little food and I think as a whole we all love a good meal.

  • Sandra Desvallions

    MEMBER

Blessings to those visiting our site.

My name is Sandra Desva, and I’ve been a participating member of the WWC for three years now. While I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. I’ve been a resident of Broward County for the past 20 years.

When I was introduced by Safiya to this blessed group of women, I did not have the spiritual practices in place to cope with life by putting God first. The love, acceptance, empathy, sisterhood, and prayerful warriors that accompanied me along this journey is what has kept me coming back and wanting to serve others too. The outreach programs, virtual meetings, and one-on-one moments all multiply to the joy in my life today. I can’t really pinpoint one favorite event, however, there are several prayer requests that have turned into praise reports in my personal family, as well as our sisters. For this I’m eternally grateful.

Moving forward with WWC. I hope to be able to help bring more faithful women into the fold, participate in more outreach programs, and grow spiritually in my faith in God.

As I mentioned before, I was raised in Brooklyn by Haitian immigrants in a large family that did everything together. We’re very accustomed to celebrating life events and just a great Sunday dinner. As such one of my hobbies is to simply relax to some of my favorite music, or dance like no one is watching. I’m also the proud glam-ma of two beautiful grandchildren.

These monthly meetings help to build confidence, self esteem and most importantly grow spiritually.

My favorite hobby is reading and I love to dance.

WWC has helped me to gain a deeper insight of my true value and the woman God has created me to be, which is the best version of myself.

What I love most about WWC is the importance that is placed on celebrating life and each other every opportunity we can.

One of my favorite memories was our photo shoot session which allowed me to embrace my beauty on a higher level.

Going forward, I expect continued growth both individually and collectively as a team as we walk in our God given purpose and fulfill our destiny.

Our bold and beautiful leader Safiya Francis is a blessing and definitely a woman with a vision.

  • Tiffany Golding-Sylvester,

    Member

My name is Tiffany Golding-Sylvester, and I am a proud member of the Safiya Shoetique’s wealthy women’s club. The name speaks for itself, we are “WEALTHY”, not only monetary but also rich in Christ. I have been a member of this sisterhood for the past 3 years, and yes, I am growing, and I am loving it. I am a mother of two beautiful children, 2 stepchildren and a wife to an amazing Husband. In my spare time, I enjoy singing, dancing, and hanging out with my family. I am a full-time student at Nova Southeastern University pursuing my bachelor’s degree in psychology, where I aspire to become a child psychologist. Currently, I am travelling patient care technician, and have recently launched my newest company Tstyledbeaute. With being a travelling PCT as the name specifies, I do travel from state to state. How do I commit to WWC and travel? Well, over the past few months our visionary and the leaders have made it extremely easy to fulfill that commitment. Every month we get together as women or as “sistahs” I like to call it, and join in our monthly meetings via zoom calls, which I absolutely love. Based on the fact, that I am not able to attend meetings in person at all times, they have made it convenient not only for myself, but for all the women in our group. Our zoom meetings are one of a kind, we come together giving thanks to the Almighty, learning more about Christ, we listen to testimonies, we empower and uplift each other as women and also just focus on the positive aspects of life. WWC has been focusing on a lot of non-profit events for women and their families in our community, such as back to school giveaways, donations, grocery giveaways, Christmas giveaways and so much more. One of my favorite events so far was the community baby. Have you ever heard of a community baby shower? The event itself has changed the lives and perspectives of so many mothers including myself. To see the mothers and their children just basking in joy with the gifts and love they received, to hear their life stories and journeys was just a constant reminder, that we must always be grateful for what God has provided us with, and to also lend a helping hand to others in need. WWC has changed my whole perspective on life, I am grateful to be amongst such prestigious women, who speak positivity and empower and uplift each other, no matter what the circumstances hold we stand together as sisters. Before I joined WWC, my attitude towards things or situations in life was just pure negativity, of course, I was a strong believer in Christ, but my actions showed otherwise; I lacked “faith”. But, just to wake up to positive messages, affirmations, scriptures, testimonies and so much more from our visionary, leaders and other members speaks volume about what our sisterhood is about. I can proudly say, I am no longer that person who lacks faith or speaks negatively, I stand firm in my faith in Christ and wait patiently for God to move in my life. As my philosophy states, “I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens Me” (Philippians 4:13) I am truly grateful to be a part of this sisterhood. I implore each and every woman to stand together, uplift each other, support each other, because we are a force to be reckoned with when we are together.
